We are seeking a System Tester to verify and validate our automotive electromagnetic sensor systems. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, executing, and documenting system-level tests to ensure fulfillment of requirements, functional safety, performance, and robustness of EM sensor-based systems.

You will work closely with systems engineers, hardware, software, and quality teams to ensure complete requirement coverage and traceability throughout the development lifecycle.

Job Description

  • Develop system test specifications based on system requirements
  • Define and execute system integration and system qualification tests (testcases and test procedures)
  • Verify functional, performance, robustness, and fault-handling behavior of electromagnetic sensor systems
  • Validate sensor behavior under various environmental conditions (EMI/EMC, temperature, voltage variations, vibration)
  • Report test results clearly and consistently following specific internal and customer template and requirements
  • Ensure requirement traceability between system requirements, test cases, and test results
  • Collaborate with system architects, hardware, software, EMC, and safety engineers
  • Contribute to the test setups design
  • Support issue resolution during system integration and release phases

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Physics, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience in automotive system testing or validation
  • Experience testing electromagnetic sensors (e.g., inductive, Hall-effect, magnetic position or speed sensors)
  • Knowledge of EMC/EMI principles and their impact on sensor systems
  • Strong understanding of automotive sensor systems and signal behavior
  • Experience with test benches, HIL systems, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and data acquisition tools
  • Experience with test management and requirement tools (e.g. Polarion)
  • Knowledge of ISO 26262 (Functional Safety)
  • Experience with automated testing or scripting (Python, CAPL, MATLAB, etc.)
  • Structured, detail-oriented working style
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
