Commodity Purchaser (Mechanics)

Job Requirements

• Evaluation, selection and development of suppliers within the framework of the assigned product groups;
• Develop and implement of the (global) commodity procurement strategy with the aim of ensuring long-term and cost-effective supplies;
• Enforcing alternative sources to minimize lead times, inventories and costs;
• Coordinate and monitor the contractual agreements in order to prepare and document new/re-negotiations and initiate appropriate measures;
• National and international market observation in order to introduce new suppliers, product derivatives, product innovations in the purchasing portfolio;
• Responsibility for the commodity supplier portfolio;
• Prepare sourcing decisions according the commodity sourcing strategy;
• Maintain master data and general purchasing administrative tasks within the global purchasing network;
• Support cross-functional partners in case of escalation;
• Participate in annual price negotiations to achieve global price budget;
• Observance for global compliance guidelines and legal requirements;
• Integrity and trustworthy collaboration with superiors and cross-functional parties.
