We are seeking a highly self-driven Hardware Developer to take ownership of automotive sensor products, as part of a new R&D Location ramping-up. The role requires strong technical autonomy, initiative, and the ability to reverse-engineer and stabilize existing designs. The focus is on inductive, magneto-resistive, and Hall-effect sensor technologies used in automotive applications.

This role is critical to ensuring continuity, technical understanding, and long-term sustainability of legacy and ongoing sensor projects.

Job Description

  • Define System and HW requirements, based on Customer specifications.
  • Design and develop analog and mixed-signal hardware for automotive sensing applications.
  • Work with inductive, magnetoresistive, and Hall effect technologies to create precise position, speed, and angle sensors.
  • Perform circuit design, simulation, schematic capture, and PCB layout review.
  • Define and execute hardware validation and verification plans.
  • Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and test engineers to ensure system-level performance.
  • Analyze test data and perform root-cause analysis for hardware-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as ASPICE, ISO 26262 and EMC/EMI.
  • Support issue resolution from development through production and field feedback. Support customer communication on field returns.
  • Support manufacturing, testing, and quality teams during transition and production phases.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong experience in hardware development for automotive or industrial sensor systems.
  • Hands-on experience with inductive, magneto-resistive, and/or Hall-effect sensors.
  • Solid background in analog and mixed-signal circuit design and signal conditioning.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal guidance or existing documentation.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills using standard lab equipment.
  • Experience dealing with legacy designs, design transfers, or inherited projects.
  • Familiarity with automotive standards (ISO 26262, AEC-Q100/Q200, ISO 16750).
  • Experience with EMC/ESD mitigation and root-cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of automotive communication interfaces (PS5, LIN, SPI, I²C).
  • Experience supporting hardware in series production and field issue resolution.
