The Swoboda Steering Rack Sensor for Steer-by-Wire applications features dual-track signal detection. It redundantly determines the absolute position of a ball screw drive within a range of 0 to 360° and transmits these two position values via a digital SENT interface. Thanks to comprehensive diagnostic functions, the sensor supports safety-critical systems up to an ASIL-D safety level. It is fully end-of-line calibrated and can be commissioned in the application by the control unit through setting a zero-offset angle. Additionally, water detection can be integrated if the system requires it.
