Accident data storage

Swoboda teamed up with highly regarded accident analysts to develop the UDS-AT device for storing accident data. This device is currently being used in the high-end vehicle segment. The device automatically collects and records all event-relevant vehicle data when accidents or accident-like events occur. Such data includes the speed of the vehicle and the condition of the most important signals, such as those for the ignition, lights, blinkers, and brake lights. The Swoboda “black box” has been in production since 2015 and is now being used in police and emergency vehicles, in various other types of vehicle fleets, and in the public transport sector.

Features and Benefits
  • Scalable data recorder for collecting accident data
  • Reconstruction of vehicle movements via internal independent sensors
  • Collection and storage of high-resolution 3D acceleration data and angular velocities
  • High degree of data security
  • Used successfully in tens of thousands of vehicles
